Part time All Ages Psychiatrist in California

Job description

Position: Outpatient Psychiatrist (Onsite/Hybrid Option)

Schedule: 16 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Commitment: Minimum 6 months with strong intent to extend
Location: Onsite required (hybrid possible for exceptional fit)
Patient Population
Ages 5 and up
70% adults / 30% children & adolescents
Focus on individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health diagnoses
Common conditions: Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression, etc.
Many patients are non-verbal

Clinical Details
PPD: 8–12 patients/day
Appointment lengths: Med checks / follow-ups: 30–45 minutes (more time available if needed)
New evaluations: 60 minutes for adults, 90 minutes for children/adolescents
EMR: Avatar

Credentialing: Approximately 30 days

Support Team
13 part-time psychiatrists (3 child/adolescent)
20 therapists
2 LVNs
Case managers, psychiatric technicians, and 1 psychiatric nurse practitioner
Reports to Manager of Medical Operations

Requirements
Must: Be able to treat both children and adults
Provide onsite coverage (hybrid may be considered)
Have Medicare/Medical eligibility (no paneling)

Preferred:
Board Certified in General and Child Psychiatry
Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese
