🧠 Psychiatry Locum Tenens Opportunity – Academic Hospital Setting
Location: County-based academic hospital Department: Behavioral Health Start Date: January 26, 2026 End Date: July 24, 2026 Contract Length: 6 months Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

🏥 Practice Environment
Join a 525-bed hospital with a dedicated 12-bed adult inpatient psychiatry unit. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team including nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, and social work/case management. The facility uses EPIC EMR and fosters a highly collegial, teaching-focused atmosphere with resident involvement.

👥 Patient & Workload Details
Adult inpatient unit

12 beds per day

No special procedures required

Full-time coverage needed monthly

🔍 Candidate Profile
We’re seeking a board-certified psychiatrist with:

Recent inpatient experience

Comfort working with severely ill patients in a county hospital setting

Strong independent and collaborative skills

A teaching mindset and positive personality for resident education

📋 Requirements
Board Certification: Required

State Medical License: Required

DEA: Required

BLS & ACLS: Required

Minimum Experience: 2+ years preferred

Credentialing Timeframe: ~90 days
