About the facility
A Private Hospital with Psychiatric Unit, ED, and OP Department is seeking a Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.
About the facility location
The facility is located in Maui, Hawaii.
About the clinician's workday
Psychiatrist will be rounding on 3-4 patients on the inpatient unit and may have 1-2 discharges per day. The will also see two patients in the outpatient department 1x per week. They will see perform psych consults on the ED and Med Floors as needed and will participate in call coverage. Ages 12+ are seen but a Child Psychiatrist is available for consults. The psychiatrist will need to perform H&Ps.

- Support staff: Three other physicians, Occupational therapist, 3 RNs, recreational therapist, 4 aids

- Call ratio/schedule: 1:4 weekends and weeknights, holidays

- Cases treated: acute psychiatric needs
- Census: 11
- Med checks/follow-up per day: 30 minutes
- Initial evaluation time: 60 minutes
