Psychiatrist needed in Kentucky!

Job description

Part-Time Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Inpatient

Start Date: April 1, 2026 (ongoing)
Coverage Type: Intermittent coverage
Primary Need: Thursdays

Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (BHU)
Unit Size: 12 beds

Responsibilities:

Psychiatry rounding on the inpatient BHU

On-call coverage with limited call volume

Collaborative care with interdisciplinary team

Call & Workload:

Call volume: ~2 calls per night

Callback time: ~2 hours per 24-hour period

Rounding time: approximately 4–6 hours

Support Staff:

2 Registered Nurses (RNs)

Mental Health Technicians (MHTs)

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Requirements:

Board Certified in Psychiatry

Kentucky license preferred (IMLC accepted)

Minimum of 3+ years post-training experience
