Psychiatrist Needed in Louisa, KY | Inpatient | 7 On/7 Off | Kentucky License Required

Job description

This is an inpatient psychiatry opportunity at an acute care hospital in Louisa, Kentucky, covering a 19-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit with scheduled clinical hours plus call. The schedule is seven days on, seven days off (Monday-Sunday), working two weeks per month until a permanent psychiatrist is hired, with on-site hours 8:00a-4:00p daily during the on week, plus evening and overnight call every day of the seven-day work week. This is an ongoing assignment of approximately 13 weeks, beginning the week of September 7 and returning every other week. Credentialing runs 60-90 days, travel reimbursement is available, and local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.

The physician sees 12-14 patients per shift, with an average length of stay of five to seven days. Support includes RNs, LPNs, mental health techs, and an activity/recreation therapist.

Candidates should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry and must have an active Kentucky license to be considered.
