Part-Time Outpatient Psychiatrist – Maryland (Telehealth or Onsite)
Start: ASAP
Contract: 6–9 months (with option to continue)
Credentialing: ~30 days
Position Overview
A well-supported outpatient behavioral health clinic in Maryland is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist (General Psychiatry or Child & Adolescent) to provide medication-management follow-ups for an all-ages caseload (patients ages 8+). The role is primarily focused on follow-up visits due to new Maryland regulations requiring psychiatrist involvement in all medication-management assessments.
Schedule & Hours
10 hours per week total
Prefer 1 full day, or two 4-hour blocks
8 clinical hours – medication-management follow-ups (20–30 min each)
2 administrative hours – team meetings, treatment planning, documentation
Practice Details
100% telehealth available (onsite optional and welcomed)
Must be willing to see all ages 8+
All visits initially follow-up medication management only
Expectation to follow up with every clinic patient once during the first 6–9 months
After catch-up period, clinic will maintain 10–15 ongoing clinical hours available
Requirements
Board Certified in Psychiatry (General or Child/Adolescent)
Maryland Medicaid enrollment required
Spanish-speaking preferred, not required
Must meet MD regulations for psychiatric follow-up on all med-management cases
Support Provided
Strong clinical support team
Experienced Psych NP Medical Director on staff
Administrative staff and coordinated team structure
