Psychiatrist needed in Missouri ASAP!

Job description

Inpatient Psychiatrist (Adults) | Missouri
Start: ASAP (2-week credentialing)
Commitment: Minimum 3 months with potential for long-term extension

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday–Friday or 4x10-hour shifts

Setting:

Inpatient psychiatric hospital serving two distinct populations:

Severely mentally ill patients, many admitted through criminal court (Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity cases)

Involuntary commitment program for sexually violent offenders participating in treatment for potential court-ordered release

Patient Load: 17–25 patients per month
Population: Adults only

Support Staff Includes:
Physicians, psychologists, counselors, RNs, LPNs, social workers, psychiatric technicians, pharmacists, therapeutic recreation specialists, rehabilitation services, unit director, chaplain, program supervisor, and program nurse.

Requirements:

Active Missouri medical license (required)

Board Certification not required

Experience with severely mentally ill populations required; correctional or forensic psychiatry experience strongly preferred
