**Adult Psychiatrist – Outpatient | Community Mental Health | Nashua, NH**
**Job Type:** Locum Tenens or Permanent Placement
**Location:** Nashua, New Hampshire

**Position Overview:**
A community-based outpatient mental health center in southern New Hampshire is seeking an experienced **Adult or Older Adult Psychiatrist** to join their team. This role focuses on providing psychiatric care to a diverse patient population, including individuals with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and co-occurring substance use disorders (SUD). Candidates must be comfortable working independently within a high-need, resource-limited environment.

**Position Details:**

* **Setting:** 100% outpatient
* **Population:** Adult and older adult
* **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

* Flexible schedule options available after the first year
* **Call:** Light phone-only call rotation with other MDs and NPs

* One holiday per year required
* No emergency department call or in-person call-ins
* **Patient Load:** 8–12 patients per day

* Includes 1 psychiatric evaluation daily
* 30-minute medication management appointments
* **Team Support:** Collaborative team environment with nurse practitioner support
* **EMR System:** In place and fully supported

**Candidate Requirements:**

* **Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry**
* **Active or eligible New Hampshire license** (expedited process available)
* **Must have prior experience in a community mental health setting with SPMI and Suboxone**
* **New graduates not considered at this time**
* **Must reside in New Hampshire if considering seasonal on-site flexibility**

* Site visit support available for qualified candidates

* J-1 visa sponsorship possible (not preferred, but considered)
