Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist – New York, NY

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide full-time psychiatric care in New York, NY. The psychiatrist will work on a Transition to Home Unit (THU) serving adult patients with a history of homelessness.

The multidisciplinary team focuses on rehabilitation, recovery, and successful reintegration into the community.

COMPENSATION

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

‣ Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
‣ Perform standardized risk assessments
‣ Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
‣ Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
‣ Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams
‣ Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
‣ Lead a weekly medication education group
‣ Provide teaching and supervision of medical students as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

‣ MD or DO
‣ Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
‣ Active New York State medical license
‣ ABPN Board Certified in Psychiatry
‣ Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience
‣ Medicare enrolled
‣ Medicaid enrolled
‣ Specialty: Adult Psychiatry – Inpatient

WORKING HOURS

‣ Full-time
‣ 40 hours per week
‣ Monday–Friday
‣ 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
‣ 100% onsite/in-person
‣ No flexible scheduling
‣ No remote work available
