DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Adult Psychiatrist to provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services in Ogdensburg, NY. The position involves caring for adult psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting with a maximum caseload of 20 patients per provider.

‣ Adult inpatient psychiatric setting
‣ Maximum caseload: 20 patients per provider
‣ Full-time inpatient coverage
‣ No weekend coverage required

COMPENSATION

‣ Pay Rate: Details can be discussed further after applying to the job posting
‣ Travel expenses reimbursed, including mileage, rental car, hotel, and flight

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

‣ Conduct psychiatric evaluations and admissions
‣ Manage patient discharges
‣ Provide medication management
‣ Provide routine and follow-up psychiatric care
‣ Attend morning meetings
‣ Participate in weekly treatment team meetings
‣ Participate in ward meetings as needed
‣ Address legal matters, including involuntary retention and treatment over objection
‣ Respond to psychiatric emergencies and codes
‣ Review and sign test results and consults
‣ Collaborate with medical providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care

QUALIFICATIONS

‣ Minimum 1 year of Psychiatry experience
‣ Adult inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
‣ Must be able to manage a maximum caseload of 20 patients
‣ Physician qualified to provide adult inpatient psychiatric care

WORKING HOURS

‣ Full-time
‣ 40 hours per week
‣ Monday–Friday
‣ 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
‣ No weekend coverage required
