Location: Bellingham, Washington

Start Date: January 5, 2026 (first day reserved for orientation)
Contract Length: 3 months (with extension approvals every 3 months)

Schedule:

Days: Wednesday – Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call: None

Rounding/Admissions: Yes

Workload Details:

Setting: Inpatient | Hospital privileges

Unit size: 20 beds

Patients per day: 8–10 inpatients + 1–5 consults

Coverage: Shared with another psychiatric provider each day

Admissions: 1–3 per day, divided between providers

Patient Population: Full scope of community residents

Support: Works with other inpatient behavioral health clinicians; hospitalist manages most medical issues, psychiatrist handles uncomplicated medical issues (UTI, lice, etc.)

Court Testimony: Required if expert witness is on vacation

EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

Board Certification: Required

License: WA licensed candidate or IMLC

Certifications: As required by MSO
