Radiation Oncology Physician Needed in Laurinburg, NC

Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month: full time, might consider 2 weeks per month
• Frequency of any Call needed: no call expected
• Schedule Details: clinic hours, Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm, with one admin day per week; one undertreat day with no scheduled clinic, roughly 15-20 patients on that beam. Must be on site every day for radiation treatment oversight. Peer review required with a second radiation oncologist for all new start radiation patients.
Work Details:
• Support staff: Dosimetrist and Physicist on site, oncology RN and navigator.
• Department Description: Comprehensive outpatient radiation oncology department integrated with medical oncology; collaborative environment focused on continuity of care.
• Patient Volume: 2 consults and 8 follow-ups max per day
• Patient Age Group: Primarily adult and geriatric (18+)
• EMR/Documentation System: Epic,
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, and SRS/SBRT
• Special Equipment Used: Varian TrueBeam, Eclipse Treatment Planning System, MIM Software, Aria
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred?: BC in Radiation Oncology required
• State License(s) Req’d?: NC license required
• Certifications Req’d (BLS / ACLS / etc)?: BLS
• Specific Skills Req’d?: Proficiency in IGRT, IMRT, and treatment planning with Eclipse; comfort with TrueBeam and peer review processes
• CSR Req’d?: No
• DEA Req’d?: Yes, unrestricted DEA
• Minimum Experience Req’d: 2–3 years preferred, will consider strong new grads
• Are vaccines mandatory?: Yes, including COVID-19 and Flu per hospital policy
• Additional requirements/details to screen for?: No malpractice or credentialing issues; strong communication and documentation skills
