Radiation Oncologist needed in VA

Job description

Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month (24hr / hourly shifts / shifts + call, etc): We can work with Monday-Thursday 7-3pm and have no call
• Schedule Details (start / end times, days of the week, etc): Office is closed all major holidays. Clinic is open from Monday-Friday, 7a-3p. Ideally prefers providers able to provide at least 2 weeks of coverage for a 6 month block.
Work Details:
• Support staff: supported by a dedicated RN, Clinical Manager, 3 Fulltime Radiation Therapists, 1 PRN Therapist, Onsite Physics, and remote Dosimetry. Additionally, the cancer center has a dedicated dietician, nurse navigation program, social worker, onsite medical oncology practice with infusion center and palliative care.
• Department Description:
• Patient Volume: under 25 patients per day
• Patient Age Group: 18 and up only
• EMR/Documentation System: Epic and Aria
• Special Equipment Used:
• special software used = Mobius, Radformation, .Decimal
• This location has 1 TrueBeam Linear Accelerator
• Eclipse planning System- Stereotactic (SRS, SBRT), external beam radiation to include 3D and IMRT, and Electron treatment. We have the capability to do external radiation for GYN patients and brachy can be referred within Ballad system.
