Job description
MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Radiologist with strong breast imaging experience for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, high-volume diagnostic work, and top compensation, including paid travel and lodging.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled diagnostic radiologist with subspecialty expertise in breast imaging and the ability to perform image-guided procedures such as biopsies. Candidates must be board certified and licensed or eligible to practice in Iowa.

Assignment Details:
• Start Date: ASAP (job is currently open)
• End Date: December 31, 2025
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call Requirement: None
• Setting: Hospital-based outpatient imaging (no inpatient call)
• Hourly Rate: Up to $400/hour
• Travel & Lodging: Fully covered
• Malpractice Coverage: Provided
- Specialized Radiology Work – Focused on breast imaging and procedures with a steady volume of 60–80 cases/day using RadAssist PACS.
- Stable Long-Term Assignment – Full-time schedule (Monday–Friday, 8a–5p) at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center through December 2025
- Cases include: Breast imaging, biopsies, and procedures
