Locum Urologist Needed in South Carolina

Job description

A high-acuity medical center in South Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Urologist to provide inpatient call coverage on a flexible, ongoing locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician with strong general urology skills and experience with advanced procedures such as robotics and laparoscopic surgery.

Assignment Details:

Start Date: As soon as credentialed

Coverage: Inpatient call – both day and night coverage

Schedule:

Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour call)

Weekends: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM

Schedule will vary month to month (e.g., Monday to Monday, Friday to Friday, etc.)

Patient Volume: ~10 patients/day

Surgeries: ~7 cases/week

Support: 3 APPs (no residents or supervision required)

Facility: 641-bed Level 1 trauma center

EMR: EPIC (experience preferred)

Procedures & Skills:

Required: General adult urology, advanced endoscopic techniques, ureteroscopy

Preferred: Robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, radical prostatectomy/cystectomy, nephrectomy, TRUS biopsies, penile prosthesis, ESWL, brachytherapy, intraoperative ultrasound, renal/bladder u/s with biopsy, incontinence procedures

Certifications Required: Board Certification (ABMS/AOA), BLS, DEA, CSR

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

Licensing: Active SC license preferred (will consider licensing candidates); credentialing in 30–60 days with SC license, 120 days without
